Independent technology company

We build it.
We fix it.
We secure it.

Skull Solutions handles technology from the office Wi-Fi to the API behind your app: IT services, software engineering, infrastructure, consulting and security. Bring us the problem, even if you don't know what it's called.

What we do

One company for the whole technology lifecycle.

Some of it is everyday IT work. Some of it is difficult engineering. Both matter, and we treat them that way.

  • IT Services

Computers, software installs, domains, filtering, CCTV and the everyday technology a business runs on.

    • Setup
    • Maintenance
    • Devices
    • Business IT
  • Software & Engineering

    • Automation
    • Databases
  • Infrastructure

Cloud, domains, DNS, networking and deployment — the operational systems software runs on.

  • Consulting

Technical decisions, architecture reviews and a second opinion on systems that got complicated.

  • Security

Cyber-safety training, security reviews and application security, with penetration testing through SkullSploit.

  • Products

Problems we solve

You don't need the technical term. Just tell us what's wrong.

Nobody writes to us asking for “DNS remediation”. They write things like these, and every one of them has somewhere to go.

IT Services

The everyday technology, done properly.

Small jobs are real jobs. A computer that boots, Office that activates, filtering that actually filters: this is what keeps a business running, and it deserves the same care as anything else we do.

Prices in black are fixed. Installation prices cover our work. Software licences — Windows, Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 — are separate, and we only install properly licensed software.

  • Operating system installation

A clean install of Windows or Linux, set up and ready to use.

  • Microsoft Office installation

Microsoft Office installed, activated with your licence, and working.

  • Domain & Google Drive setup

Your domain pointed where it should be, and your files organised in Google Drive so people can find them.

Networking

Wi-Fi that reaches the back room. Guests who stay off the till.

Office and home networks, guest Wi-Fi with captive portals, and filtering at the router, explained without the jargon.

  2. ONTnetwork-level controls, where supported
  3. RouterDNS filtering · segmentation · access rules

    • CamerasCCTV recorder, on its own network
  • Network setup

A small-business network planned, configured and tested — Wi-Fi that reaches, and devices that connect.

    What's included
    • Small-business network planning
    • Wi-Fi configuration and coverage
    • Router configuration
    • DNS configuration
    • Device connectivity
    • Troubleshooting a network that already exists

  • Captive portals

The page guests see before they get on your Wi-Fi — for a café, a restaurant, an office lobby or a public space.

    What's included
    • A branded Wi-Fi login or terms page
    • Guest access kept separate from your own devices
    • Time or usage limits, where the equipment supports them
    • Setups for restaurants, cafés, offices and visitor Wi-Fi

Customers get Wi-Fi. Your point-of-sale terminals, cameras and office machines stay on a network they cannot see.

    What's included
    • Network segmentation

    • Access controls
    • Basic hardening of routers and access points

This is sensible protection for homes and small businesses, not an enterprise network architecture.

Quarterly Tech Health Checkup

Don't wait until everything breaks.

Preventative maintenance for a company's technology. Every quarter we go through your computers, network and accounts, fix the small things, and give you a short list of what needs attention.

A checkup finds problems while they are cheap to fix. It cannot promise that nothing will ever fail or that no incident will happen — nothing honest can.

Consulting

A second opinion from people who look at the whole system.

Reviews and advice for software, infrastructure and the decisions around them — from someone who looks at the whole system.

Vibe Code Consulting

Built it with AI and now you're wondering what exactly you built?

We can inspect the system, find the problems, and help you turn the prototype into something you can actually operate.

  • Authentication & authorisation
  • Database
  • Infrastructure & deployment
  • Performance

  • Production-readiness

Infrastructure consulting

You built the app. Now what?

Once software is real, where it runs, how it ships, how it's backed up and who notices when it breaks all start to matter. We look at the whole system, not one component of it.

  • Architecture review
  • Cloud infrastructure and hosting
  • Deployment strategy and CI/CD
  • Domains, DNS and networking
  • Databases and backups
  • Containers
  • Observability and operational workflows
  • Cost and security considerations

Assessment required Details

  • Architecture reviews

An independent look at how a system is designed, where it will strain, and what to change first.

  • Technical assessments

A clear answer to a technical question: should we build or buy, can this be rescued, what will this take.

Security

Protect it here. Break it next door.

Security at Skull Solutions is practical: training the people, reviewing the setup, designing applications that hold up. When you need an attacker's view, that's SkullSploit.

Skull Solutions protects

  • Employee cyber-safety training

SkullSploit tests

SkullSploit · offensive security

Need someone to break it?

SkullSploit is the offensive-security arm of Skull Solutions, focused on finding vulnerabilities in applications, APIs and systems.

  • Web application penetration testing

Someone tries to break into your application the way an attacker would, by hand, as each kind of user.

  • API penetration testing

The API behind your app, tested directly — including the requests your own app never makes.

  • Authentication & authorisation testing

Whether every account can reach only what it is meant to reach.

  • Business logic testing

Your own rules on prices, limits, approvals and ownership, bent on purpose.

In development, not for sale yet: Security research · Exploit development · Deeper offensive-security work

SkullSploit doesn't write the fixes for what it finds. Testing and fixing are kept apart on purpose, and the engineering that closes findings happens at Skull Solutions.

How we work

The same stages, scaled to the job.

A QR menu passes through some of these in an afternoon. A custom platform spends weeks in each. Nobody gets a methodology they don't need.

  1. Understand

Figure out what you actually need, which is not always what was first asked for.

  2. Assess

Look at what exists: the system, the constraints, the infrastructure, the risks.

  3. Design

Choose an approach that fits the problem and the budget.

  4. Build / Configure

Implement, install, configure or engineer it.

  5. Test

Verify it works. For anything security-sensitive, test how it fails too.

  6. Handover

Document it and explain it, so it is yours and not a mystery.

  7. Maintain

Ongoing support or recurring health checks, where they make sense.

About

An independent technology company.

Skull Solutions works across software, systems, infrastructure and security. We take the practical jobs and the complicated ones, and the problems that don't fit neatly into either.

  • Small jobs stay small.

An Office install does not need a discovery workshop. A platform build does. The process fits the job.

  • We say what it actually needs.

Sometimes that is less than you asked for, or a cheaper tool than the one you had in mind.

  • You talk to the people doing the work.

No account managers between you and the person configuring your network or writing your code.
